This week is VBS week at McKinney Fellowship. Our theme this year is Camp E.D.G.E.: Experience and Discover God Everywhere. It’s a cool theme and the church is decked out with terrific Camp ambience. This is my first year to volunteer for VBS at McFBC and – no surprise – I was placed with the worship team as a worship leader. It’s been an amazing experience already to see the kids respond to God with hearts wide open in worship and adoration of our amazing Creator! I nearly exploded out of my skin tonight during the final worship rally when over 700 children were singing – and signing – full out “My Savior Lives” and “You are Good.” The joy, the enthusiasm, the overwhelming love for God was nearly tangible. I believe God blessed me with a small glimpse of what heaven will be like…and it got me all pumped up inside!
But what this week is doing is reminding me of just how amazing – how faithful, how loving, how awesome – our God really is. And if you ever had any doubts, let me encourage you to watch this video. Accident or random chance? I think not. A God who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and worthy of our worship? Absolutely.
