The Night of Blue & Gold

This is the night of Blue & Gold.

This is the Wolf Badge, red & yellow

That was given on the night of Blue & Gold.

This is the Scout, a handsome young fellow,

Who earned the Wolf badge, red and yellow

That was given on the night of Blue & Gold.

This is the Dragon, a mighty fine cake,

That was brought by the Scout, a handsome young fellow,

Who earned the Wolf badge, red and yellow,

That was given on the night of Blue & Gold.

This is the Dad and this is his lad,

Who worked hard together all day to make

The Chinese Dragon, a mighty fine cake,

That was brought by the Scout, a handsome young fellow,

Who earned his Wolf Badge, red and yellow,

That was given on the night of Blue & Gold.

These are the brothers, with jokes that were bad,

Who performed in front of the Dad and his lad

Who worked hard together all day to make

The Chinese Dragon, a mighty fine cake,

That was brought by the Scout, a handsome young fellow,

Who earned his Wolf Badge, red and yellow,

That was given on the night of Blue & Gold.

These are the leaders, willing and able,

Who laughed at the brothers, with jokes that were bad,

Who performed in front of the Dad & his lad,

Who worked hard together all day to make

These are decorations that graced Den 3’s tables,

Set out by the leader, willing and able,

This is the spirit stick, for which we are proud,

For the BEST DECORATIONS, which graced Den 3’s tables,

Set out by the leader, willing and able,

  1. Congratulations Den 3 for the best decorations at the Blue and Gold Banquet. And congratulations Trey on earning your Wolf badge. Sorry this isn’t following the format set forth so creatively in your blog but this Northern teacher is still enjoying the last remnants of February vacation (I’ll get creative tomorrow).

What a great looking cake. Did you have a “cake walk” with auctioning off the cakes? I remember B & G banquets as a den mother/leader. Sounds like the entertainment hasn’t improved, however.

We had 10″ of snow on Friday. Today was blue sky and sunny, the snow decorated the trees and the vista was spectacular. More snow expected on Tuesday. Wish I ccould send some down for your cub scouts to enjoy a good snowball fight. It’s beautiful but I am so ready for Spring. Your table decorations were mighty “springy” with the Japanese lanterns and cherry blossoms. Ah-h-h-h
