There’s a friend of ours, who is undergoing a similar situation in her life, and she shared with me one of the ways she is coping with the stress. It’s all about the food choices we make. Some are good, and others are not. Proper nutrition is definitely a way to keep your body in tip-top shape to withstand the pressures life can bring us.
With that in mind, I’m going to share with you the diet she shared with me. I think it sounds very doable, very realistic. And though it’s not new, it certainly is worth looking at again. So without futher ado, I present to you….
THE COPING DIET
This is specially formulated diet designed to help women cope with the stress that builds during the day.
1 slice whole wheat toast
1 cup skim milk
1 small portion lean, steamed chicken
1 cup spinach
1 cup herbal tea
1 Hershey’s kiss
The rest of the Hershey kisses in the bag
1 tub of Hagen-Daaz ice cream with chocolate chips
4 glasses of wine (red or white)
2 loaves garlic bread
1 family size supreme pizza
3 Snickers Bars
Late Night Snack
1 whole Sarah Lee cheesecake (eaten directly from the freezer)
I suppose I could substitute a half-gallon of Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food for the cheesecake…
