This just cracks me up

Yesterday we played hooky from church, using the “it-was-a-late-night-when-we-had-to-drive-back-from-the-campout” excuse.  So what did we do to fill all our free time?  We went SHOPPING!

I won’t bore you with all the details, except to say my “I hate Wal-mart” stance was reconfirmed.  Then we went to Costco, where Matt discovered a really cool doggie bed.  This isn’t the doggie blanket we currently have on our living room floor, folded twice to try to make it LOOK a little more comfy.  No, this is a microfiber, fluffy pillow with a backrest along one side.  Total doggie comfort, and machine washable to boot.

After bringing it home, I put the doggie’s sorry little blanket on top to show him that this bountiful bed, this cozy, snuggly, cushy thing is HIS.  And his alone.  And why not?  He’s old, he’s arthritic, he’s suffered on concrete and wood floors long enough.

So how did it work out for him?  Just unfold to see pictures…

As Culvert assumes his sleeping position on the hardwood floor….

Peekaboo takes her rightful position as queen of the doggie bed.

  1. That is so funny!! That deserves an LOLCat saying.
“I’z snoozin’ in UR dogz bed.”

We didn’t play hookie from church, but we did go to Costco yesterday! We went to the one on 75 & spring creek around 2. We went in for tortilla crusted tilapia and walked out with 152 dollars worth of stuff and lunch. Oh those places look innocent enough, but they lure you in with samples and “bargains”. I LOVE it!! LOL

  2. we were there just before you guys! We went in around 11:30 or so. We were hoping for more lunch, but most of the demo vendors were cooking their fare, so we didn’t get much to sample.

Since I was coming off my Wal-mart experience, I wasn’t much into browsing. The only “splurchase” we made was the doggie bed. Everything else was on the list. *wink*
