Music of the cinema…with Quentin Tarantino as celebrity “coach.” Yeah, I’ve worked it over in my mind and those two comments just don’t seem to mesh in my book. I guess that’s why I’m not sitting in Kara DioGuardi’s seat.
As usual, there were the top performers who will have no trouble making it to next week (Allison and Adam), and there were the middle-of-the-road contestants who will eventually be weeded out but did well enough to hang in there for another week (Anoop).
Which brings me to the bottom three:
I really liked him at the beginning of the competition. I thought he had a cool soul vibe and I loved his piano playing. But recently he has seemed to be fading and disconnected from his music. I don’t know if he’s trying too hard, but he’s missing the mark. I did not enjoy his performance tonight.
She’s another one I had high hopes for at the beginning of the season. I really thought we might be looking at another Jennifer Hudson or Mandisa. But she has definitely fallen off her game and I just don’t see that star quality she once had. She is struggling to find her way in this competition and I think it’s starting to get to her.
Honestly, the guy is cute as a puppy dog. I love his personality and the sparkle in his eye. But he’s not the same caliber as Adam and can’t hold a candle to Danny’s emotional connection with the audience.  I thought he did a good job, but I don’t know if it’s strong enough to keep him out of the bottom three.
So there are the bottom three. Who’s gone? My vote goes for Matt.
Sheesh….I get cured of cancer in same week as I get voted off! Should I start packing my bags? Where will I live?
