The holidays are over, my children are back in school, Matt is back at work…and it’s time to get serious.
No more Christmas cookies. No more holiday pies or sweet breads. No more turkey dinners, glazed hams, or sugared veggies. No more steaming hot cups of frothy hot cocoa, mounded high with sweet whipped cream.
The official weigh-in this morning shows a 6-lb. net weight gain over the past few weeks. So now that all those holiday yummies have been cleaned out of the fridge and the pantry, it’s time for me to renew my commitment. As of this morning, I’m going back on a more strict Phase-1 meal plan for the next two weeks. I may be going it alone this time with Matt’s chemo playing havoc on his taste buds and digestive processes. But that’s okay because I know I can do it.
Stay tuned…expect to hear great things next Monday!
I am just now reading this. I hope my sweet potatoes didn’t throw your whole week for a loop. If you haven’t cooked them, they will probably freeze well.
