Bowled Over

Sad, but true.  The BCS is now over.  And though the LSU Tigers made short work of those Ohio State Buckeyes (for which I’m glad – GEAUX Tigers!!) – reality has set in: I’m a loser.

It’s become somewhat of a tradition here in our house to have a friendly wager on the NCAA Final Four.  It used to be just Matt and I picking our faves for a $25 prize, but as soon as our children could speak we allowed them to join the fray.  Now we’ve expanded our horizons to include the BCS tournament.  This was our first year to do so: pick the winner of each bowl game and the person who picks the most winners correctly wins.

The final results?  Totally humiliating.   It took me until the 6th bowl game to pick a winner!  The end tally was:

Matt – 22

Crisana – 19

Trey & Debbi – tied at 17

Tied with a 7-year-old for last place.  Guess it’s a good thing I don’t play the lottery.

  1. And I quote, “And thank YOU for bringing up such a painful memory. While you’re at it, why don’t you give me a nice paper cut and pour some LEMON JUICE on it?”

    Bring on March Madness!
