Good news that really is!

The angels are rejoicing tonight, and so are we!

For the first time in quite a few years, we have a newborn in our house.  She’s upstairs sleeping peacefully right now, but a few hours ago this family was quite excited about the new addition to our family…our spiritual family!  That’s right, Crisana has asked Jesus to live in her heart and accepted God’s gift of salvation!

She has been asking to do this for several months now and we’ve put her off because, frankly, we were afraid she was too young to understand what she was doing.  But about a month ago, during the memorial service for Shelly, Bobby was talking about the hope we have because Shelly “asked Jesus to live in her heart.”  Crisana leaned over to me and, in a very concerned tone said, “But Mommy, Jesus doesn’t live in MY heart.”  Of course, that was not the time to have this discussion so we again said we’d talk about it later.  Well, later finally came, and after dinner tonight she prayed a very simple prayer to have Jesus come and live in her heart and clean it of all her sins.

January 22, 2003 – the day Crisana was born and filled our lives with joy.

January 9, 2008 – the day Crisana was reborn and filled our hearts – and the heavenly hosts – with joy.
