Yes, there WILL be a test on this…

This will be a quick update.  We have the dates scheduled for Matt’s procedures this week:

Thursday (10-9) – he will have his CT and PT scans.  I will have to drive him as the PT scan requires him to take a Valium and they will not allow him to drive home, nor will they allow him to take a cab.  We have to be down at Zale-Lipshy Hospital at 7:30.  That means leaving here by 6:15 A.M.  Yikes.  The CT scan is scheduled for 8 A.M.  It will take about 2 hours.  Then we hoof it over to where the PT scan will be (which should be fun if Matt has already taken the Valium) for his 10:30 appt.  The PT scan will also take about 2 hours at which point Matt should be ready to pass out from hunger.  I should also be ready to pass out from sheer boredom and lack of sleep.  Who will be the safer driver?  Your guess is as good as mine.

Friday (10-10) – his excisional biopsy is still scheduled for that afternoon.  At this point, we have been told to arrive at 2 P.M. with the procedure scheduled for about 4:45.  We anticipate it taking about 1-1/2 hours, and will be home some time Friday night.  I’ll try to provide a quick post that evening just to share the results of the procedure.

Thanks to all of you for your continued prayers and support!

  1. You and Matt will definitely be in our prayers this week. I assume your mom will be assisting with the kids getting off to school etc. I keep wondering how Matt’s boss is feeling with all this

  2. Valid point! I remember one Florida trip where your stint at driving was not so long because of that. I may drive myself home after all. Aunt Joyce – as for my boss, I just told him I would be leaving for medical tests, That is all he needs to know now.
